This year, most of the festivals have been a hush hush affair with last minute invites, shopping & preparations.Ganesh Chathurti is of no exception to this. Just a day before the festival, started working on this arrangement in the evening, took nearly an 1 hour to get this done.
Used news papers, cardboard, quilling strips and sparkling lace to create this setup.
Was quite happy with the outcome :) !
Here's how it looked,
No lights , no celebrations for me.. so set them up too ..
2.5 hrs in the kitchen, ended up cooking 11 types of festive delicacies as prasad for the pooja..
They one i enjoyed cooking the most were "MODAK's". Cooking these for the very first time. Jayanti athe gave me the recipe and explained how it has to be cooked. Must say , they were an instant hit.
After 3 days of Ganesh ji's stay at our home,it was time to bid farewell to him hoping he would return next year. Completed Visaarjan in the evening.
