Highway - Movie Review

Good watch. Movie revolves around Aliya and she has done a good job.  I liked her in this movie compared to Student No.1.

When it comes to story line, it’s a girl accidentally being kidnapped, who turns out to be the daughter of a very influential man. When the abductor gets to know about who she is, they get panicked and attempt to probe for ransom.

In this journey of hiding from police, they try to shift Aliya from one place to place other and in the midst of this, Aliya starts liking this life where "she is free to do what she likes and behave the way how she wants and decides to enjoy her stay with the kidnappers".

After knowing about the Randeep hooda (Kidnapper), she develops affection towards him and starts feeling secure having him around her. However, as a typical Hollywood movie Hero being the bad guy has to die. This puts Aliya through a tough traumatic phase. When she returns back to her normal life, she confronts her uncle who would have molested her as a kid and informs her parents that "she wants to go away and wants to lead her life the way she prefers.

To summarize this movie portrays,
  • Women/Girls are not safe anywhere not even at home.
  • Women would love to be around the man (irrespective of what is profession is) who would let her lead the life she wants freely along with making her feel secure.
